Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 August 2026

By using Ploonet you agree to these Terms of Service. If you have any questions, please contact us at support@ploonet.app.

Who we are

Ploonet is a social platform for sharing positive news and practical ideas, operated by Radian Business Intelligence (“Ploonet”, “we”, “us”), based in Australia.

Eligibility and age requirement

Ploonet is a social media service. Under Australia’s social media minimum age law, you must be at least 16 years old to create or keep an account. We may ask you to verify your age, and we may deactivate accounts held by anyone under 16.

Please also review our Privacy Policy for how we handle your personal information.

Your account

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page.

Plans and billing

  • The Free tier is ad-supported. Ads are served by Google AdSense and only with your consent, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • The Premium tier is a paid subscription processed by Stripe. It includes a 14-day free trial, after which you will be charged A$7.99 per month (or the localized equivalent in your currency). You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via “Manage billing” on the Premium page.
  • If you cancel, you keep Premium access until the end of the paid period, after which your account moves to the Free tier.
  • We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice posted within the app or on our website.

Your content

You retain ownership of any content you post. By posting, you grant Ploonet a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for cached or backup copies retained for a short period. Articles must credit their original source.

Content standards and acceptable use

Ploonet is a positive-news community. You may not post unlawful, abusive, hateful, deceptive, or infringing material. Spam, data scraping, interference with the service, and impersonation of others are prohibited. We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these terms, and you can report content for review at any time.

Family tree

When using the collaborative family-tree features, only add information about living people with their knowledge and consent, and respect the privacy of others.

Our content and intellectual property

The Ploonet name, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited personal licence to use the app in accordance with these terms.

Third-party services

  • Stripe — payment processing (Stripe’s terms apply to payments).
  • Google — advertising (Google’s advertising policies apply).
  • Microsoft Azure — hosting and email infrastructure.
  • Links you follow from posts are provided by users and are not endorsed or controlled by Ploonet; you access them at your own risk.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where a statutory guarantee applies, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or providing a comparable remedy. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.

Ending these terms

You may stop using Ploonet and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms. Provisions that by their nature survive termination — such as the licence for retained content copies and the liability limits — remain in effect.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. Continued use of Ploonet after an update is acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and any disputes will be resolved in Australian courts. Questions? Email support@ploonet.app.
